One of the most important Islamic Holiday is called “Eid El Kebir”.
All over the world, on the same date, is celebrated to remember Abram’ sacrifice of his son Isac; when God intervened to stop the murder in his name, Abram sacrificed a tup and proclaim that day religious holiday. All the Islamic families wait that time for the whole year and arrange the date as a very happy party; a precious moment to spend with relatives and friends celebrating God and his greatness.
The richest families can sacrifice more than a tup; the purest even only a chicken or a rabbit. After the pater familias has cut the throat of the animal the family take trouble treating the fur, cooking the meat, dancing and singing for a whole week. At that time in Morocco, after King’s order, five millions of tups were sacrificed at the same time.
