Mauro Ceglie was born in 1955 in Italy. Graduated in Piacenza, he attended the Arts Accademy in Venezia. He collaborated with sculptor F. Messina between 1976 and 1979. He has often been invited to take part in many artistic exhibitions in Italy and Foreign Countries, cause of his artistic engagement. In 1988 was in Los Angeles’ ArtExpo and in the VIII Dantesca Biannial in Ravenna. In 1989 was in Paris for the Art&Easter Review at the Centre Pompidou and in 1992 is involved in international exhibition “Meeting Art in Europe” patronize by European Parliament. In 1987 realized a sculpture for the City of Lodi and in 1991 a crucifixion in S. Cenaculum in Gerusalemme.
In 1992 realized “The Flight” a sculpture for SNAM Company in S. Donato (Milan). He also was in Graz (Austria) in the same year, decorating parts of a bridge and working for architects Nomenighe and Pilcher (teachers in Graz University). Ceglie obtained many artistic awards douring his long career: 1° Prize in Ferrara’ Biannial, 1° Prize in La Spezia’ Biannial, 1° Prize in Cremona’ Quadreannial.
